Built for the document model and visualizing JSON data

Easy to Start

MongoDB Cloud's native data visualization tool – no setup or ETL

Powerful Engagement

Embed charts in apps via iFrame or SDK for modern data experiences

Immediate Data

Real-time analytics with no data movement or duplication

Easy to Share

Create dashboards and collaborate securely

No-code aggregation – focus on driving insights, not writing queries

Improve productivity with quick, easy, and real-time business intelligence

Ensure your team is always informed of key metrics and insights. Get started creating and sharing data visualizations in MongoDB Charts with just a few clicks, without managing any software or infrastructure. Assemble dashboards with multiple charts using an intuitive UI. Charts built with live data will automatically update to give you a real-time view. Share dashboards so all the right people can see what you’re seeing, and allow editing so your team can collaborate or provide view-only access for those who just need visibility.

Empower data-driven decision making from complex data

Spend more time on what decisions to make from insights, and less time on how to find insights. MongoDB Charts makes analytics for JSON data simpler by natively supporting the richness of the document model, including nested and hierarchical data. There’s no more flattening subdocuments and arrays into the tabular structures needed by traditional BI tools.

Create modern data experiences with embedded analytics

Put the power of data in your users’ hands. Embed charts and graphs into any application while saving development time and effort. Embed via iFrame for simplicity, or with the MongoDB Charts’ embedding SDK for more control and customization. Either way, delight your internal or external users with relevant data where they need it. MongoDB Charts for embedded analytics.

Can I try MongoDB Charts even though I don’t currently have data in the MongoDB Cloud?

Yes! In fact, you can kick off with Charts for free, simply by signing up for MongoDB Cloud, and activating Charts. You’ll see a welcome screen with two prompts upon launching Charts from MongoDB Atlas: Connect Your Data and Explore with Sample Data. Simply choose the second option and the sample dashboard will be ready and waiting. There are a few other sample datasets in MongoDB Atlas that you can explore as well.

How does MongoDB Charts remove the need for an ETL (extract, transform, load) process?

Because MongoDB Charts is fully integrated with MongoDB Atlas, there is no need to extract data from the database via API, connector or file export. Most data visualization or BI tools prefer data in a tabular or structured format. However, Charts is designed for the richness of JSON formatted data, so there’s no need for transforming MongoDB data. The only setup required is selecting which Atlas cluster(s) to connect Charts to, so effectively, “loading” data can be done in just a couple of clicks.
