Kubernetes is the most widely adopted open source container orchestration framework in the market today. Red Hat OpenShift is an enterprise Kubernetes container orchestration platform for hybrid clouds.
With OpenShift, developers can build, deploy, run, and scale cloud native applications on public and private clouds and deploy applications without having to acquire, provision, or maintain the underlying hardware or software stack.
The MongoDB Enterprise Operator for Kubernetes and OpenShift allows users to easily deploy MongoDB into containers managed by OpenShift through MongoDB Ops Manager or MongoDB Cloud Manager. Users are still able to leverage Ops Manager and Cloud Manager for automation, monitoring, alerting, and backup functionality.
