MongoDB Atlas
☐ I know how to submit a support case, and the team has access.
Atlas subscribers can access the support portal through the Atlas user interface.
☐ My drivers are compatible with my clusters.
Be sure to update to the latest version and confirm drivers are compatible with your clusters.
☐ I know my cluster tier/size.
Expecting traffic spikes? You can configure cluster tier ranges that Atlas uses to automatically scale your cluster tier and storage capacity (both up and down) in response to usage.
☐ I’ve created the appropriate indexes for queries.
Create your index and check the Performance Advisor for index recommendations.
☐ There are enough redundancy nodes to account for high availability requirements.
You can deploy a minimum of three redundancy nodes for availability and workload balancing. Is it enough?
☐ I have tested the failover.
A failover test serves as a benchmark for how long to expect a production restore to take.
☐ I have implemented security measures.
MongoDB recommends strong security measures to protect your installation.
☐ Network peering or private endpoint is configured.
Atlas supports network peering connections for dedicated clusters hosted on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and on multi-cloud sharded clusters. Atlas also supports private endpoints such as AWS PrivateLink, Azure Private Link, and Google Cloud Private Service Connect.
☐ Your backup policy has been configured.
Backup policy settings vary depending on business and compliance needs. A misaligned policy can result in unanticipated costs. This resource helps you understand how to form a strategy based on your situation.
☐ Alerts are configured.
The optional configure alerts setting can be triggered based on certain conditions, and you choose how to be notified.
☐ Your launch date is scheduled.
T’s are crossed. I’s are dotted. You’re ready for launch.
