Why is my password invalid?
Your Atlas user account password must comply with the following requirements:

The method for resetting your password depends on how you registered:
If you registered with your email address, use the MongoDB Atlas login page to reset your password.
If you registered with Google, Google manages your credentials. Reset your password through your Google account.
If you registered with GitHub, GitHub manages your credentials. Reset your password through your GitHub account.
Why didn't I receive a verification email?
Verification emails come from the mongodb.com domain. If you don't receive a verification email, verify that your email provider accepts mail from mongodb.com. If the issue persists, contact MongoDB Support.
Why can't I register with my GitHub account?
Atlas requires your GitHub account to have a public email address. If you try to register without a public email address, Atlas returns an error.

How do I link or unlink my Google or GitHub account?
You can link or unlink your Atlas account from your Google or GitHub account at any time:

How do I set up multi-factor authentication?
Atlas uses MFA to verify your identity at login. You can set up many authentication methods, including security keys, Okta Verify, authenticator apps, or email. Configure at least two methods to avoid losing access to your account.

What do I do if I lose access to multi-factor authentication?
If you lose access to all your MFA methods and can't log in, contact MongoDB Support.
To avoid being locked out, set up at least two MFA methods. To learn more, see Manage Your Multi-Factor Authentication Options.
Why can't I use my old email address after deleting my account?
Atlas requires up to two weeks to process an account deletion. During that time, the email address associated with your deleted account is reserved and unavailable for a new account registration.
