정의

db.collection.dropIndexes()

컬렉션에서 지정된 인덱스(_id 필드의 인덱스와 마지막 남은 샤드 키 인덱스 제외)를 제거합니다.

이 메서드를 사용하여 다음을 수행할 수 있습니다.

• collection에서 _id 인덱스를 제외한 모든 항목을 제거합니다.

  db.collection.dropIndexes()

• collection에서 지정된 인덱스를 제거합니다. 인덱스를 지정하려면 다음 중 하나를 사용하여 메서드를 전달합니다.

  • 인덱스 사양 문서(인덱스가 텍스트 인덱스가 아닌 경우, 인덱스 이름을 사용하여 제거):

    db.collection.dropIndexes( { a: 1, b: 1 } )

    db.collection.dropIndexes( "a_1_b_1" )

  인덱스 이름 배열에 존재하지 않는 인덱스가 포함되어 있으면 메서드는 존재하지 않는 인덱스를 무시하고 나머지 지정된 인덱스를 제거합니다.

Starting in MongoDB 8.3, db.collection.dropIndexes() is idempotent. If you specify an index that does not exist, db.collection.dropIndexes() ignores the non-existent index and completes successfully instead of returning an IndexNotFound error. In earlier versions, db.collection.dropIndexes() returns an IndexNotFound error if the specified index does not exist.

Starting in MongoDB 6.0, db.collection.dropIndexes() raises an error if you attempt to use it to remove the last remaining shard key compatible index. Passing "*" to db.collection.dropIndexes() drops all indexes except the _id index and the last remaining shard key compatible index, if one exists.

You can use db.collection.dropIndexes() to drop existing indexes on the same collection even if there is a build in progress on another index. In earlier versions, attempting to drop a different index during an in-progress index build results in a BackgroundOperationInProgressForNamespace error.
