How MongoDB helps employees take control of their finances.

Pre-tax benefits

Health savings account (HSA)

If you join the High Deductible Health Plan, MongoDB automatically contributes money towards your HSA (up to $825 per year for Employee Only coverage and up to $1,650 per year for Family coverage). The HSA also allows you to put away pre-tax dollars for medical, prescription, dental, and vision services into an HSA from their paycheck. Money put into your HSA is yours; the money never expires and HSA accounts are portable from one employer to another. Once your account balance reaches $1,000 you have the option to invest your HSA funds.

Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)

Employees can enroll into a Health Care FSA and/or a Dependent Care FSA to allow them to use pre-tax money from their paycheck for out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses.

Commuter program

MongoDB Employees are also free to enroll in our commuter benefit, which allows you to put aside pre-tax money for your commuting expenses. Whether you’re traveling by train, bus, or car, you are able to save money with this pre-tax benefit. This also works with rideshare companies during peak rush hours.
