DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

Building a culture of inclusion at MongoDB

We're committed to building a culture of inclusion that embraces differences. This philosophy extends to our employees, users, customers and communities. We work to ensure that MongoDB is a place where people of all backgrounds can build their career.

Employee Affinity Groups

Queeries

Queeries aims to create and maintain a safe environment for those identifying as LGBTQIA+ or questioning (in terms of sexuality, gender expression, and/or romantic interest or preference). Members do not need to be out at work to be part of this group.

MDBWomen

We are a community of MongoDB employees identifying as women. We acknowledge that working women face many challenges and that not everyone experiences them in the same way. Our purpose is to connect and amplify the voices of working women at MongoDB by providing a space for support and advocacy.

TUPOC

The Underrepresented People of Color (TUPOC) Network aims to foster community and inclusion amongst employees who identify as people of color from underrepresented groups in tech at MongoDB. We offer a space to address challenges faced by members in and out of the workplace, as well as networking opportunities.

Underrepresented Genders in Tech

The Underrepresented Genders in Tech (UGT) group is a community for people of underrepresented genders in technical roles at MongoDB who want to provide and receive technical mentorship, career mentorship, and support from each other.

Green Team

The Green Team is committed to driving MongoDB to become a sustainable, social, and environmentally responsible company, that is relentless in our pursuit of reducing our impact on the environment.

Veterans

To support MongoDB employees who are veterans of the armed forces, to encourage recruiting of veterans, and to provide a social framework for veterans and their supporters to build together. We will work to increase the visibility of veterans already working at MongoDB, and encourage esprit de corps among veterans.

Queer Collective

The Queer Collective is open to all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies. It's our goal to create a safe and open space for queer people and allies to meet, exchange thoughts, and build their network within MongoDB.

Sell Like a Girl

Sell Like a Girl aims to make MongoDB a top employer for people who identify as women in Sales by supporting the recruitment process of women candidates and retention of women sales executives through support, leadership development, and mentorship.

  • Girls Who Code
  • YearUp
  • Code2040
  • The Bail Project
  • And more!

Fundraising for racial justice

MongoDB is committed to supporting organizations that are fighting for racial justice, economic advancement, and equal opportunity.

Join us by donating to Code2040, The Bail Project, National Urban League, and National Lawyers Guild — organizations doing important work to advance racial justice.

In 2020, MongoDB donated $250,000 to the fund, divided equally between the four organizations.

These organizations were selected by members of TUPOC, MongoDB's affinity group for Underrepresented People of Color.

Helping developers tackle COVID-19

For more than a year, the world has been living and struggling with COVID-19. Vaccines have been rolled out, but the global situation is still critical. Throughout it all, technologists have been coming together to develop applications to help detect, understand, and stop the spread of COVID-19.

At MongoDB we're incredibly grateful to everyone who is working hard to tackle the virus, and this program is our small way of helping out. If you're working on a project to help combat COVID-19, either through detecting, understanding, or stopping the spread of the virus, apply here to receive $300 of MongoDB Atlas credits.
