Former Yodle COO & CFO and Merrill Lynch Executive to Help Scale Rapid Company Growth

NEW YORK, N.Y. and PALO ALTO, Calif.— July 6, 2015 – MongoDB today announced it has appointed Michael Gordon as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective today. A veteran finance executive with more than 20 years of financial management and business experience at companies, including Yodle and Merrill Lynch, Michael will be responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of financial operations at MongoDB.

The addition of Michael as CFO rounds out MongoDB’s expansion of its executive team, including the recent appointments of Carlos Delatorre as Chief Revenue Officer and Meagen Eisenberg as Chief Marketing Officer.

“Michael’s decades of experience and strong background in finance and operations made him the perfect fit for the company,” said Dev Ittycheria, president and CEO, MongoDB. “We’ve invested heavily in securing the top executive talent to scale the business aggressively. With Michael in place, MongoDB is well positioned for rapid growth as we continue to take market share from legacy vendors and further establish ourselves as the new default for modern applications.”

Michael joins MongoDB from Yodle, a leader in local online marketing, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and CFO. At Yodle, he was responsible for finance and business operations, business development, reseller programs, corporate development and legal affairs. Previously, he served as Managing Director in the Media and Telecom investment banking group at Merrill Lynch. There, Michael helped raise more than $20 billion in capital for clients, including many initial public offerings, and advised clients on more than $50 billion in mergers and acquisitions transactions. Before Merrill Lynch, Michael worked in brand management at Procter & Gamble.

“I am excited to join MongoDB during this time of rapid expansion,” said Michael Gordon, CFO, MongoDB. “As the proliferation of technology continues to change the way we live and work, very few companies are positioned as well as MongoDB to help organizations build applications that fundamentally transform businesses. I look forward to partnering with Dev and the whole MongoDB team to capitalize on the opportunity in front of MongoDB.”

A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, Michael also serves as a Board Member for Tracx, a social media management platform for enterprises and brands, and Share Our Strength, one of the nation’s leading anti-hunger organizations.
