Once authorized, the AI coding tool can provision, manage, and query Atlas resources on the user's behalf through the Atlas MCP Server, without requiring a long-lived credential.

It also serves Atlas Organization Owners who need to control and monitor which AI tools can access their organization's Atlas resources.
