Socialite, the Open Source Status Feed Part 1: Design Overview and Scaling for Infinite Content

Building a complete social networking platform presents many challenges at scale. This is the first in a series of presentations on Socialite, a reference architecture and open source Java implementation of a scalable social feed service built on DropWizard and MongoDB. This section will provide an architectural overview of the platform and provide a detailed storing an infinite timeline of data while optimizing indexing and sharding configuration for access the most recent window of data.
