MongoDB Named 2012 SD Times 100 Award Winner
New York, NY and Palo Alto, CA- 10gen, the company behind MongoDB, today announced it was named one of the database industry's top innovators and influencers in the 2012 SD Times 100. The award winners were published in the June 2012 issue of BZ Media's SD Times, and the complete list can be found here.
MongoDB's inclusion in the SD Times 100 follows a number of major strides in the past year as the NoSQL market leader, including tremendous enterprise customer adoption, the rollout of 10gen's MongoDB Monitoring Service (MMS) and increased community engagement with more than 23 MongoDB events worldwide.
"We are pleased to be recognized as an SD Times 100 company," said Max Schireson, president, 10gen. "This recognition is a true testament to how the market has responded to our open source database as the default NoSQL solution that makes it easy for developers to code, scale and operate applications."
The SD Times judges chose winners based on each company's offerings, reputation and "buzz" -- the attention and conversation happening around the company and its products and technologies.
"The software development industry has always been competitive, and this year's difficult horse-race showed that there's more than one way to thrive in challenging economic climate" said Alan Zeichick, Co-Founder and Editorial Director of BZ Media's SD Times. "When calling the winners of the 2012 SD Times 100, the editors carefully considered each organization's products and services, industry thought leadership, and reputation with enterprise development managers. Thanks to companies like MongoDB, software developers always know the winning ticket."
