Automation is Coming to MongoDB Management Service
Today we’re announcing the general availability of MongoDB 2.6 and introducing automation features to MongoDB Management Service. MMS is the application for running MongoDB reliably at scale. Using MMS, operating MongoDB can be as easy and elegant as it is to develop with.
MMS includes continuous, incremental backup with point-in-time recovery as well as monitoring, visualization and alerts on over 100 metrics. It is now available as both a fully managed cloud service or as on-prem software as part of a MongoDB subscription.
We’re also introducing automation features in MMS, which is in testing with select users. MMS makes operations tasks effortless, reducing complicated tasks to a single click. You can provision, configure, upgrade and manage MongoDB deployments through a sophisticated and user friendly interface.
A demo video of automation is now available, and you can sign up to be notified when the public beta is available. We’re also hosting a webcast on April 17 where you can learn more about the latest version of MongoDB and new features in MMS.
