Data Modeling w/ MongoDB
11 AM ET A frequently asked question in the MongoDB community is “I’m designing an application to do X, how do I model the data?” In this live webinar we will examine the most important considerations when making decisions about your data model, so that you can create the model that best fits your application. You will learn: The differences between data modeling in MongoDB vs. relational databases The key considerations for data modeling with MongoDB How to further enhance the power of the document model with schema design patterns Register today to save your spot. We look forward to seeing you there!
Advanced Querying: Beyond the Basics
11 AM ET In this webinar, we will show you how the aggregation framework allows you to model simple and then increasingly complex queries and aggregations against your datasets, allowing you to group, join, and run window functions across documents in your collections. Then we'll talk about indexes, and the things you should consider when indexing your collections. Finally, we'll introduce you to some fundamental data modeling patterns, giving you a solid starting point for learning to effectively model data in MongoDB. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about advanced querying and get your questions answered. We look forward to seeing you there! Seats are limited, reserve your spot today!
MongoDB vs Imitators: Why choose MongoDB
10am GMT Developers consistently rate MongoDB as their favorite database to work with, which has led other database providers to emulate the MongoDB API for their users. Cosmos DB is a prominent example of this, although it does not offer the same ease of use, performance, or functionality. Join us for our upcoming webinar, MongoDB vs Imitators: Why Choose MongoDB, where we will explore the key differences between MongoDB and the Cosmos DB API emulator for MongoDB, to help you decide which database is right for your applications. During this session we will be covering: MongoDB technology fundamentals, including data modeling using the document model and MongoDB architecture Introduction to MongoDB Atlas, our cloud-based application data platform A comparative analysis of MongoDB and Cosmos DB including queries, performance, deployment How to seamlessly migrate from Cosmos DB to MongoDB Customer stories and use-cases We look forward to seeing you there!
Intro to MongoDB
11 AM EST Ready to begin your MongoDB Atlas adventures — but not sure where to start? Join our Intro to MongoDB webinar at 11am ET on Wednesday, September 12th to learn more! At this free event, Senior Developer Advocate Jesse Hall will showcase the unique advantages of the document data model and show you how to deploy an Atlas cluster.
Build a Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile app from start to finish
12pm ET Join us live, Wednesday, October 19, as we build an end-to-end KMM app – working across iOS and Android – with local persistence via Realm and cloud-syncing via MongoDB Atlas. The app, TalkToMe, supports event logistics: submit and manage talk proposals, display the schedule for attendees, and more. Some impressive capabilities you'll have working by the end of our live session: A working Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile app you can build on top of, with a single backend/data layer that works across platforms A fully managed and auto-scaling infrastructure, no matter how fast your app grows or changes Industry-leading conflict resolution algorithms providing accurate, real-time data Out-of-the-box, enterprise-grade security (including encryption at rest and in flight, rich authentication methods and granular, role-based permissions) Local persistence for reliability and performance on mobile devices with limited resources (battery, space, etc.) Tune in, ask questions, and engage with the community live. See you there!
Best Practices for Deploying Atlas on AWS
10am BST Join us on Tuesday, October 25th, for an interactive session on MongoDB Atlas, a fully-managed Cloud database and discover the latest innovation that MongoDB on AWS is offering. MongoDB Atlas ensures that when you deploy your clusters in AWS, your databases are run according to operational and security best practices. What you will learn: Why MongoDB & AWS are powerful and why our partnership is becoming even more relevant. Deploy a MongoDB cluster hosted on AWS in minutes using MongoDB Atlas. Scale your cluster vertically, horizontally or globally across AWS regions according to business demand. Take advantage of advanced search capabilities, all with no additional infrastructure to manage, using Atlas Search. Monitor your cluster, and visualize your data natively using MongoDB charts. Intelligently tier data to S3 persisting the same powerful query language using Atlas Data Lake, and while paying only for the queries you run.

What's new in MongoDB?
10am BST Join us for this webinar where we’ll be presenting the MongoDB Developer Data Platform & announcing the new features available with MongoDB 6.0. What’s new? MongoDB 6.0 offers performance improvements for sorting time-series data and allows users to create a secondary or compound index on any field in a time-series collection. Queryable Encryption allows users to run rich queries against encrypted data, and is available for users and customers to try out first. Atlas Serverless instances, now in GA, allow you to offload even more operational overhead by deploying a cluster that can automatically scale itself to incoming and outgoing traffic without the need to specify cluster tiers. Copy all the data from one member of the replica set to another with up to four times faster initial sync. Introducing major enhancements to sharding that increase network efficiency. We will also talk about some other new features, like the new Relational Migrator which makes it easier and faster to migrate your data from a relational database to MongoDB! And lastly, we will be sharing some exciting news about .LOCAL London, our developer focused, in-person event on November 15th.
