Welcome to MongoDB $weeklyUpdate!
March means it’s Women’s History Month! We want to celebrate the vital role women play in the world, so every week, we’ll feature an amazing pioneer in science and tech!
Kimberly Bryant - Electrical Engineer & Founder of Black Girls CODE
Kimberly Bryant started teaching a small group of Black girls – her daughter and some of her daughter’s friends – some coding basics. This would go on to become the foundation for Black Girls CODE. Since April 2011, Black Girls CODE has facilitated numerous programs, events, and outreach to the community to show the world that black girls can code, and do so much more. (via Black Girls CODE)
