We’ve had a lot of MUGs (MongoDB User Groups) lately!

Our Frankfurt MUG was security-focused and organized by leaders Tim, Prabha, and Nicole. Torsten, Staff Curriculum Engineer at MongoDB, talked about field-level encryption. And MUG leaders Prabakaran and Raul spoke about client-side field-level encryption.

Our Toronto MUG leaders, @chris and @Grace_Gong, put together an amazing event at the Microsoft headquarters. There were around 80 attendees and three engaging talks. Prashant spoke about amplifying retail operations with generative AI. Lachlan shared his company’s journey with MongoDB. And our enthusiastic Community Creator Devang shared his experiences with using MongoDB cluster collection to boost query performance.

We had more than 60 people attend our inaugural Santa Catarina MUG. Big thanks to our leader and Community Creator Mateus for organizing this amazing first meetup in south Brazil.

We had two engaging sessions by Leonardi, and Community Creator Jessica talked about MongoDB beyond the database.

Incredible work by our Manila MUG leaders @Matthew_Seaver_Choy and @haifacarina. Matthew did a session on using NoSQL for e-commerce websites. And our experienced speaker @Raphael_Justin_Jambalos shared his experiences with the boundless possibilities of MongoDB.

Last was our MUG in Wellington. After seeing a lot of interest in Auckland’s MUG and MongoDB’s huge .local event in Auckland in August, @Jake_McInteer from MongoDB kicked off this event in Wellington. Tim shared how ECLI uses MongoDB deployed across multiple geographically separated data centers in New Zealand in order to meet the highest possible uptime requirements. And @Philipp_Waffler spoke about why working with documents in MongoDB is different from working with tabular structures in a SQL database.

Community Creator @Danielle_Monteiro delivered a captivating talk at the AWS UG Conference Peru, drawing in 100 attendees. Her session, “MongoDB Atlas Search and AWS: Why, when, how,” underscored the significance of informed decision-making in MongoDB Atlas usage and outlined key criteria for selecting AWS.

Community Creator Mateus was featured on Episode 2 of our Fala MongoDB Podcast where he discussed how HeroSpark innovated in the online education market by bringing a fast and intelligent platform in Brazil by implementing MongoDB.

Community Champion Elie delivered a talk at DevFest Beirut on how to use MongoDB to shape the next generation of intelligent applications.

And Community Champion Nuri authored a blog on testing out the new AI Query Generator added to MongoDB Compass, which was announced at MongoDB.local London.
