Conflicting Form Information on Associate Developer Topics

Hi,

There seems to be conflicting responses from MongoDB staff regarding the topics that can appear on the Associate Developer Exam.

In this thread, Carol_Dibert states that the Associate Developer exam does not include questions on sharding or replication.

In this thread, Satyam seems to confirms that transactions are not in the Associate Developer exam as they are not listed in the Study Guide.

However in this thread, dated between those two responses, Heather_Davis responds to someone who had questions on replication and transactions on their exam by stating that “Questions on replication and transaction will fall under the Topic: Drivers. More specifically Objective 6.2 & 6.4”.

I am quite unsure as to whether there will be questions on replication and/or transactions on the exam, as differing information seems to be given by different people.

Please could you confirm which of these answers are correct, and whether replication, transactions, or sharding will be on the exam.

All the best and many thanks in advance.

You should not worry about if the exam asks for it or not.

You should worry knowing about it.

Hi, Thanks for looking into it. Any updates? Best regards

@Jodine_Oquendo Any news? I am still keen to find out please.
Thanks

Hello! Sorry for the delay and the confusion on different responses.

I completed a search of the Developer Exam Guide and item bank and I do not see any sharding included. Sharding is included in the DBA exam, which is also stated on the exam guide. I hope this helps! Thank you for your patience! Best of luck to you.
