Former DocuSign Executive Meagen Eisenberg Joins MongoDB as Chief Marketing Officer

NEW YORK and PALO ALTO, Calif.—March 4, 2015 – MongoDB today announced that it has appointed Meagen Eisenberg as chief marketing officer (CMO). A veteran technology marketing executive with nearly 20 years of experience in high-tech, Meagen specializes in demand generation, marketing operations and automation, and field marketing strategy and execution. She joins MongoDB at a time of the company’s rapid global growth and broad, cross industry adoption.

Today’s cutting edge organizations are investing in modern database technologies, like MongoDB, to address new business challenges that legacy databases can no longer serve. Using MongoDB’s market leading position, Meagen will drive marketing strategies that will further enable IT and marketing leaders to make smart decisions and build better web, mobile and cloud applications that will capitalize on the opportunities presented in today's increasingly data-driven, highly connected world.

“Organizations today must redefine how they go to market in order to compete effectively, meet customer expectations, and deliver stand-out user experiences,” said Meagen Eisenberg. “And increasingly, the CMO is joining the CIO in designing and building the modern apps that help enable this transformation. My focus is on helping these key decision makers identify and solve for pain points in their own value proposition and in how they engage directly with their customer, where we can offer disruptive yet elegant and seamless solutions.”

Meagen joins MongoDB from DocuSign, a San Francisco-based leader in electronic signature technology and digital transaction management. Most recently, she was VP of Customer Acquisition and Marketing, where she led worldwide marketing programs and investments across web, corporate and the enterprise.

Before DocuSign, she was the Director of Worldwide Demand Generation at ArcSight, an HP Company, and prior to that she led worldwide programs and events at TRIRIGA (acquired by IBM) for integrated workplace management systems. She has also held roles at Postini (acquired by Google) and IBM, working in solutions and product marketing for security and compliance.

“Meagen is a dynamic marketing professional who is highly regarded in the industry as an innovative thinker and transformational leader,” said Dev Ittycheria, President and CEO, MongoDB. “Her energy, insight and commitment to modernizing marketing will be tremendous assets to the organization, as we build on recent momentum to boost demand and drive further growth.”

A graduate of Yale University and Yale School of Management, Meagen is an advisor to a handful of Bay Area Technology Startups including Accompani, Mintigo, Apptimize and Insightpool.
