MongoDB Appoints Veteran Finance Executive Hope Cochran to its Board of Directors

Company expands roster of independent board members

**NEW YORK, NY and PALO ALTO, CA – December 12, 2016 – ** MongoDB, the database for giant ideas, today announced it has appointed Hope Cochran to the company’s Board of Directors. Cochran is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of financial and operating experience in the technology and telecom sectors, most recently serving as CFO of gaming company King Digital, where she helped lead the company’s IPO and subsequent acquisition by Activision.

Cochran is the third independent member added to MongoDB’s board over the last year. Previously, the company appointed Tom Killalea, a former technology executive at Amazon, and John McMahon, a former sales executive who led sales at five different public software companies, to the board.

In 2013, Cochran was selected as one of FORTUNE’s 10 Most Powerful Women in Gaming and has a wealth of experience as a financial expert with audit committees at both public and private companies. Additionally, she has held several roles in the software industry, including at Red Pepper Software Solutions and SkillsVillage, a company she founded. Both companies were acquired by PeopleSoft. Later, Cochran served as the CFO at Clearwire Corporation, a telecommunications operator. She currently serves on Hasbro’s board of directors.
