Informatica World, Las Vegas --June 5, 2013-- Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq:INFA), the world's number one independent provider of data integration software, and 10gen, the MongoDB company, today announced that codeless data integration support for MongoDB is now embedded in Informatica PowerCenter Big Data Edition. Organizations can now use PowerCenter Big Data Edition to access and integrate data stored in the market's leading NoSQL database to improve business decision-making and operations - without writing a single line of integration code.
"With more and more of the world's data stored in MongoDB environments, it's imperative to be able to combine this data with other enterprise information to drive downstream analytics and operational applications," said Todd Goldman, vice president and general manager of Enterprise Data Integration and Data Quality, Informatica. "Informatica expands the potential of MongoDB application data using a no-code development environment, so customers don't have to be experts in integrating NoSQL data to take full advantage of this important technology."
Powered by the Informatica Vibe virtual data machine, PowerCenter Big Data Edition provides the unique ability to access and integrate data of almost any volume, variety and velocity without having to understand the details of the underlying database or compute platform, and without creating custom code. Consequently, rather than building custom parsers for JSON or coding data joins and filters, customers can use PowerCenter Big Data Edition to access, parse, transform, cleanse and integrate MongoDB data with the other data in the enterprise without resorting to hand-coding and specialized programming resources.
"We're pleased to partner with the leader in data integration technology to bring important new capabilities to MongoDB enterprise customers," said Max Schireson, CEO at 10gen.
"MongoDB's flexible data model and horizontal scalability are complemented by Informatica's universal data integration and ease of development. Together, they will provide a new level of efficiency including improvements in time to market, development productivity and cost for database developers, architects and administrators."
The Informatica PowerCenter Big Data Edition with support for MongoDB is available now.
