As the global online education leader, Pearson is moving into new global growth markets. Our target is to establish global education efficacy. As part of this strategy, Pearson has adopted a mobile-first approach because in many of these markets, mobile is the most common mode of Internet access. To reach the mobile users globally, a cloud-first approach is a priority, given the need to deploy in a multitude of private and public data centers globally. To align with these initiatives, Pearson is investing and experimenting in a variety of modern technologies including MongoDB. In this session, we will discuss some MongoDB use cases at Pearson - from ebooks to identity and access management - and why we have selected MongoDB among other technologies to improve education efficacy worldwide.
