Intro to MongoDB: Fundamentals Series

Ready to elevate your database game? Join our three-part fundamentals webinar series and build a strong foundation in MongoDB, from core concepts and architecture to schema design and day-to-day data operations. This series is designed for teams who are new to MongoDB or looking to strengthen their fundamentals with a more practical, skill-based path. Each session is built around an Essentials Skill Badge and focuses on the foundational concepts needed to start building modern, scalable applications with confidence. Across three consecutive sessions, you will move through the fundamentals in the right order. We begin with MongoDB’s document model and architectural strengths, then show how to translate relational thinking into effective document-based schema design, and finish with the CRUD methods and query techniques used to work with data in real applications every day. Series schedule: Part 1: MongoDB Overview June 11 - 11 a.m. ET Discover the core concepts and architectural strengths of MongoDB. Learn how the document model, dynamic schema design, distributed architecture, and support for nested and semi-structured data make MongoDB a powerful choice for modern application development. Part 2: Relational to Document Model June 18 - 11 a.m. ET Learn how to map relational models to MongoDB’s document model and design schemas around real application workloads. We’ll cover data relationships, when to embed versus reference, and how to use schema validation to enforce structure where needed. Part 3: CRUD Operations June 25 - 11 a.m. ET Learn how to perform create, read, update, and delete operations in MongoDB and build effective queries using filters, operators, sorting, limiting, projection, and document counts. This session gives you the practical query skills needed to start working with MongoDB data immediately. Register once to secure your place for all three sessions. Even if you can’t attend all live sessions, an on-demand recording will be sent to you via email if you are registered. Note: To provide the best possible learning experience, this session was pre-recorded by a MongoDB expert. However, attendees will still have the opportunity to engage live with MongoDB experts throughout the session, followed by a live Q&A to address incoming questions.

Building Business-Critical Financial Systems with MongoDB

June 25 | 11 a.m. UAE Financial institutions across the Middle East are operating systems where downtime, data inconsistency, or latency directly impact revenue, customer trust, and regulatory compliance. While traditional SQL databases remain central to core banking, leading financial institutions such as Network International are already leveraging MongoDB to run business-critical transactional platforms —including payment processing and real-time financial services—where high throughput, low latency, and continuous availability are non-negotiable. These modern systems require a data platform that can handle complex, evolving data models while scaling seamlessly under unpredictable workloads, without introducing additional architectural complexity. In this webinar, together with Network International, we will explore how MongoDB is used to power business-critical, transactional financial systems that require high availability, strong consistency, and operational simplicity. We will demonstrate how a modern data platform can support mission-critical workloads—from high-throughput transaction processing to real-time customer-facing services—while reducing architectural complexity and enabling future capabilities such as AI and advanced analytics. Special attention will be given to multi-region resilience, data sovereignty, and cloud portability , key requirements for financial institutions operating across the GCC. Speakers: Alessandro Haag, Principal Solutions Architect Mir Abul Ula Ali Khan, Vice President, Head of Engineering, Network International

Modernizing legacy: Winning in the age of AI

11th June | 2 p.m. SGT The pressure to integrate AI into your operations is universal. Yet, for many organizations, the ability to deploy is throttled by technical debt and legacy architecture. IDC research shows that 90% of modernization initiatives have failed or stalled, often because they focus on technical swaps rather than business outcomes. There is a cohort of leaders, however, that has cracked this code. These organizations are not just maintaining the status quo; they are leveraging modernization to generate 3x more digital revenue than their peers. In this session, we sit down with Linus Lai, Group Vice President for Technology and Business Services Markets at IDC, and Thorsten Walther, Managing Director of CXO Advisory Asia at MongoDB, to unpack the data behind these leaders and provide a blueprint for your own transformation. During this webinar, you will learn: How the Leaders cohort generates more digital revenue by prioritizing long-term modernization over quick fixes. Why 56% of organizations list AI enablement as the top driver for their database strategy. The economic reality of modernization, where full rewrites deliver roughly 3x the return compared to traditional lift-and-shift migrations. How to shift your funding strategy to move beyond the 89% of organizations held back by technical debt. Join us to get your questions answered live by our expert presenters. If you cannot attend at the scheduled time, please register anyway; we will automatically send you a link to watch the session on-demand once it concludes.
