Hello,
I’ve just created a new paid Atlas cluster. After initialization was done, I saw the disk usage is 2.7 GB, event I didn’t create any data on it.
Can anyone explain that?
Thanks

Hi @lvdinh,
Welcome to the community!
The disk space usage you see in your screenshot is the total bytes of used disk space on the partition that runs MongoDB. This includes the data itself and MongoDB operational data (buffer, journal, and log files). Some space is allocated for safety to allow disk increase / autoscale. This is perfectly normal in a dedicated cluster.
You may find the Disk Usage section on the View Cluster Metrics documentation useful in regards to your query here.
Kind Regards,
Jason
