Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a project I have been building over the past year called VisuaLeaf.

I originally started it as a small side project back in 2020. By 2024, the job market was tough, with many applications, interviews, and long periods of waiting. I knew I had to do something different. So in 2025, I committed fully to this project, often working 90 hours a week, to turn it into something real.

VisuaLeaf is a MongoDB GUI focused on:

These are some of the core features, and there is much more built in. It is still early and actively improving, but it is now live.

This is super cool, @Ly_Jacky_Nhiayi1. Love seeing long-term projects like this shared here. I’m definitely going to try it out!

What’s the next big thing on your roadmap, and what kind of feedback from MongoDB users are you most interested in right now?

Hi @Didi! There are quite a few exciting things on the roadmap, including team collaboration, AI improvements for query explain plans, chart generation, and enhancements to the Mongo shell experience. I am also working on making the app more accessible to non native English speakers by adding multi language support.
