Update 4.4.3 to 4.4.26 on windows

Hi,

I’m trying to update MongoDB running as a service on windows.
We currently run version 4.4.3 and I want to update it to latest version 4.4.26.

But I cant find any good tutorials on this.

According to this https://www.mongodb.com/docs/manual/tutorial/install-mongodb-on-windows-unattended/ (See instructions at the bottom)

" If you installed MongoDB with the Windows installer (.msi ), the .msi automatically upgrades within the same release series (e.g. 4.2.1 to 4.2.2)."

This does not work. The service cant be started after installation. There is also very little info about what happens to the settings and database on update.

According to this https://www.mongodb.com/docs/v4.4/tutorial/upgrade-revision/#std-label-upgrade-replace-binaries

I should just replace binaries in the current folder structure with the new ones. But after I replace the bin folder I cant start the service.

Do someone know of a good detailed tutorial of how to best to this?
I realy wold like a simpel update command that would download and patch minor updates…
