MUG Seville’s passionate leaders @Ivan_Garcia_Yebra and Diego organized an engaging meetup in Sevilla. Ivan emceed the event and talked about Docker and images with MongoDB containers. Diego explored the intriguing topic of vector search.

The Kigali MUG hosted an engaging event at the Carnegie Mellon University Africa campus. Mira, MongoDB Senior Developer Advocate, delved into Vector Search with MongoDB, followed by Senior Community Manager Harshit’s insightful discussion on MongoDB and the Community, and the talks concluded with @Brhane_Giday, a CMU-Africa student, sharing MongoDB fundamentals and data modeling expertise. Many thanks to the force behind the group, @delphine_nyaboke!

The LA MUG’s January event delved into real-world applications of generative AI and RAG systems, featuring a talk and demo by Nikhil, CTO and Co-founder of Dataworkz. Attendees learned how to create and privately host a large language model for a Q&A system akin to ChatGPT, using Dataworkz and Atlas Vector Search.

At MUG Kuala Lumpur’s second meetup at Sunway University, MongoDB enthusiasts were treated to three insightful sessions: Wen Jie, MongoDB Senior Developer Advocate, introduced the latest Atlas features. MUG Leader @Lai_Kai_Yong, Farmz Asia Software Engineer, showcased Streamlit’s integration with MongoDB. And Muhammad, Solution Architect at Huawei Cloud Malaysia, delved into designing a National EMR with MongoDB.

MUG Chandigarh hosted its inaugural meetup, “Data Unleashed,” at Appwrk IT Solutions. The event featured talks by industry experts, including Loveleen, who talked about building better mobile apps with MongoDB and Atlas Device SDK.

Simar talked about building a web app with MongoDB and NodeJS. And Veer discussed best practices for MongoDB Atlas. Special thanks to organizer @Pranav_Kumar for spearheading this enlightening event.

First, a big announcement and huge congratulations! We are thrilled to announce @chris as the 2023 recipient of MongoDB’s prestigious William Zola Award for Community Excellence!

Chris has been a core member of MongoDB for years as both a Community Champion and Forum Elder. In 2023, he continued to have an active leadership role within the community forum and launched the Toronto MongoDB User Group.
