Does MongoDB work with any RWO provider formatted as ext4/XFS, or does it have any limitation/req on storage provider/solution?

Could you elaborate on the deployment architecture that you’re planning?
In terms of recommendations, I would suggest you follow the production notes, as they are tested and supported. Using architecture/settings not aligned with the production notes recommendations could lead to unexpected issues, suboptimal performance, or even data loss.
