Replica Reconfiguration

Hi,

If i have 3 mongo db node and i want to add 2 more nodes as replica set.

If i reconfigure replica set then will 2 new node be able to replicate old data from oplog file ?

or do I need to manually copy data files to new nodes ?

According to https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/tutorial/expand-replica-set/, you may and it is faster but it is not mandatory.
