The error message says that, the collection on which aggregation query is applied and the collection name mentioned for $merge is the same.
You can try using a different collection name for $merge operation.
However, starting from MongoDB version 4.4 you can use the same name for both collection. Hence, to use the same name, make sure, you are on version 4.4 and above.
