Introducing @Jennysson_Junior , our MongoDB Creator of the Month! A Senior Software Engineer at Quero Delivery and a passionate educator who has made MongoDB concepts accessible to developers throughout Brazil.
We did a Q&A with Jennysson about their journey, so keep reading to learn more about them.
Why did you start creating and sharing technical content?
I started sharing content because I remember how challenging it is to be in the learner’s position. After a difficult journey to become a MongoDB specialist to solve my job’s problems, I noticed a significant gap in NoSQL in universities. This motivated me to bridge that gap. I decided to bring MongoDB closer to universities, delivering hands-on workshops and training for both students and professors to make their learning journey easier.
Take us behind the scenes of your creative workflow.
My workflow is driven by real-world challenges. Either from my teammates or questions I see in the community. For tools, I frequently use the Atlas data samples, as they are enough for exploring most use cases. When writing, LLMs are very helpful for refining drafts. My main tip for others is to find a real community question, develop a clear flow to solve it, and explain the underlying concepts.
What is your favorite content that you’ve created so far?
While I contribute through talks, articles, and forum answers, my favorite one is hands-on workshops. The most impactful one was the last, “Building GenAI Apps with MongoDB.” What made it special was the outcome: the audience not only earned their skill badges, but also created real proofs of concept to solve real problems. The fact that I could see the audience immediately apply the knowledge they had acquired was really great.
If you could share one piece of advice to someone who wanted to start creating technical content, what would that be?
My single biggest piece of advice is to start right now and don’t do it alone. Don’t wait for “perfect.” Your content just needs to be helpful, and you will improve with practice. More importantly, join the community. My own journey was supported by incredible people. Having peers like @Leandro_Domingues and @Mateus_Leonardi to talk with, and guidance from our community manager, @Veronica_Cooley-Perry , makes all the difference. Find a community question, share your findings, and join with us.
