What is the alternative to mongodump in version 5? I don’t see mongodump in bin folder. Please help.
You can still use mongodump, they just removed it from the mongod download and put it in a download called “Database tools” that way they can be developed separately.

Now I have upgraded to 5.0…is it okay to upgrade to 6 next or better go from 5.0 to 5.1 to 5.2 etc??
You can use this doc to understand the whole process. But you can go to 6.0. It’s Major release you need to do in order not minor releases.
