MongoDB ODBC connection test freezes for long time and fails while connecting to on-premise MongoDB

Hi Everyone,

Am trying to establish connection from our on-premise MongoDB to Power BI desktop.
going through the community document/tutorials
Connect from Microsoft Power BI Desktop - BI Connector (mongodb.com)

Create a System DSN - BI Connector (mongodb.com)

Installed following version of BI Connector and ODBC driver.

  • BI Connector version : mongodb-bi-win32-x86_64-v2.14.15
  • MongoDB ODBC driver: mongodb-connector-odbc-1.4.5-win-64-bit

but while testing ODBC connects with connection details, the application freezes( Not Responding) for a very long time

and gives out following error

Connection Failed
[MongoDB][ODBC 1.4(a)Driver]Lost connection to MySQL Server at reading initial communication Packets, System error 0

while trying to connecting with Power BI, it give following error

Am able to connect our n-Premise DB with MongoDB Compass and also through MongoSH
but not sure whats going wrong with the ODBC test.

is there any issue with compatibility between MongoDB BI Connector Version and with MongoDB ODBC drivers and our on-Premise MongoDB version is 4.2.8
