MongoDB 8.0.0 is released

MongoDB 8.0 is now available for download! There are 4 major areas of improvement in MongoDB 8.0 including:

  • Up to 36% higher throughput compared with the previous version
  • Easier and cheaper to get started with horizontal scaling
  • Expanded use cases for working with encrypted data
  • Additional controls to help ensure healthy behavior during periods of heavy load

MongoDB 8.0 is available today via MongoDB Atlas, as part of MongoDB Enterprise Advanced for on-premises and hybrid deployments, and as a free download from mongodb.com/try.
