MongoDB 7.0.2 is released

MongoDB 7.0.2 is out and is ready for production deployment. This release contains only fixes since 7.0.1, and is a recommended upgrade for all 7.0 users.

Fixed in this release:

  • SERVER-74954 Incorrect result when contained $or rewrites $elemMatch extra condition
  • SERVER-79771 Make Resharding Operation Resilient to NetworkInterfaceExceededTimeLimit
  • SERVER-79912 CheckReplDBHash reports failure with system.buckets collections due to invalid BSON
  • SERVER-79982 Batched catalog writers can run concurrently with HistoricalCatalogIdTracker::cleanup() and lead to incorrect PIT find results.
  • SERVER-80488 Avoid traversing routing table in balancer split chunk policy

Installed 7.0.2 in a KVM virt machine under Ubuntu tonight for fun … will try migrating my 6.x development to 7.

When will Ops Manager 7.0 be released to use MongoDB 7.0

The team is still determining the release date so we are unable to provide an exact date at the moment. However, they are targeting early 2024. Check out our MongoDB Software Lifecycle Schedules for future release dates for the Server and Ops Manager.
