MongoDB 5.0.1 is released

MongoDB 5.0.1 is out and is ready for production deployment. This release contains only fixes since 5.0.0, and is a recommended upgrade for all 5.0 users.


Fixed in this release:

  • SERVER-58489 Collection creation stuck in an infinite writeConflictRetry loop when having a duplicate name as a view
  • SERVER-58171 Changing time-series granularity does not update view definition

upgraded today on Mac OS and up and running … building mongosh now

I’m curious: how come you aren’t using the binary package of mongosh?

BECAUSE IT’S THERE!!!
And because the MongoDB recommendation is to install from Brew whereas I have MongoDB 5.0.1 installed from MacPorts and I didn’t want to start a civil war in /opt :slight_smile:
