MongoDB 4.2+ Backup/Restore procedure using mongodump and mongorestore

Hello,

In the documentation, it was mentioned that

mongodump and mongorestore cannot be part of a backup strategy for 4.2+ sharded clusters that have sharded transactions in progress

What would be the impact if mongodump and mongorestore is used?
Will there be data loss?
