We recently migrated to Serverless from Dedicated (M30)'s and overall we are seeing considerable performance degradation. I am not sure how anyone can use this with this performance.
Here is some comparison:
Dedicated M30
2023-11-12T21:12:16.191-06:00 INFO 12336 — [nio-8080-exec-1] : log - result.iterator() 353ms
Serverless
2023-11-12T16:38:53.716-06:00 INFO 10885 — [nio-8080-exec-1] : log - result.iterator() 7053ms
Thats more than 20x Slow. So I am wondering why would Mongo DB have a product like this.

After the investigation it was found that your serverless instance was lacking indexes that your dedicated instance did have, which resulted in the performance difference.
