Lesson 3 Atlas User Management Lab Validation issue

Hello,

I’m having an issue with the practice for Lesson 3 Atlas User Management Lab on the third practice Create a New User Invite by Using the Atlas CLI. Here is the link MongoDB Courses and Trainings | MongoDB University

When I try to run the command to invite the user I get the below message

root@mongodb:/app# atlas users invite --email test.user@mongodb.com --firstName test --lastName user --username test.user@mongodb.com --projectRole 6797be1729d2e939ace6c228:GROUP_READ_ONLY --country us
? Password: ****************************************************************
Error: https://cloud.mongodb.com/api/atlas/v2/users POST: HTTP 400 Bad Request (Error code: "INVALID_DOMAIN_IN_USERNAME") Detail: The specific username contains a reserved domain. Reason: Bad Request. Params: [], BadRequestDetail:

However the practice checks for test.user@mongodb.com, so even creating test.user@notmongodb.com works but fails the check.

Is there something different that I should be doing? Or is this a bug in the training?

HI @ryanvgates , thank you for reporting this. I’ve checked and the Atlas CLI, and it is correctly returning (forwarding) the error from the Atlas Admin API. I have raised an issue internally with the MongoDB University team to look into updating this Lab.
