Is there any difference in chunk migration performance between atlas and community edition?
I am using the “community edition”, but the chunk migration performance is not up to my expectations, so I am trying to tune it.
It is introduced that “atlas” is capable of scale-out. Is the architecture or logic different from community?
Atlas is a managed mongodb service, community edition is a managed service, but by clients using it. So no difference.
Chunk migration is part of core db logic, and i don’t think logic will be different between unpaid and paid version. Of course paid version will have some more powerful features, but chunk migration performance shouldn’t be one of them.
