Is It Safe To Go Outside? Working with Local COVID-19 Data

About this event

Mark wanted to know how safe it was to go outside, given the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Cases were spiking in the cities in Scotland, but he doesn’t live in a big city!

He’ll cover finding and evaluating a data source for local COVID-19 cases, techniques for ingesting that data into a MongoDB database, and then visualizing the results using MongoDB Charts. The whole thing will be coded in a Jupyter Notebook, demonstrating the investigative nature of obtaining data from a source you don’t control.
