Is it possible to create 1 member replica set through mongo kuberntes operator

I am trying to create a 1 member replica set for local testing using kuberntes operator. However, the 1 node that comes up has state as Secondary. Is it possible to create it as Primary instead. Or is minimum 3 nodes needed always for kubernetes oprator
I am using below definition:
