HERLP: inescapable marketing spam from mongodb

I am at my wit’s end with this - Mongodb sends me marketing emails on a regular basis, even after I’ve submitted multiple requests to unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link in their emails. Is that form even functional?

I absolutely do not want to receive any more marketing emails from mongodb, but there seems to be no way to escape them. Meaningful support is locked behind a paywall, and even then I doubt that this issue would be part of their scope. This forum is probably not the best place to raise the issue either, but I’m at a loss for what else to do.

The experience has left me with an impression that the mongodb marketing team is engaging in unprofessional, unethical, perhaps borderline illegal marketing practices. I hope someone on the team sees this post and can prove me wrong.

Any advice is welcome. Curious to see if anyone else has had the same experience.

Thank you

Indeed, what else can you do! MongoDB Employees do read and appear in the forums so hopefully your message reaches the right person.

Hey @James_C3, apologies for this. Can you send me the email address you receive these emails on via DM, and I will pass it along to the marketing team for removal.

HI @Didi, thanks for your attention on this matter.

I’m not sure how to send a DM on this forum; the email address is the same one associated with this forum profile; is your team able to access it internally?

Thank you.

@James_C3 Yes, I can see the email associated with your account on this account. I will grab it and pass it across to the marketing team.

Hey @James_C3, you’ve successfully been unsubscribed and will no longer receive marketing emails going forward. Once again, we offer our sincere apologies and wish you a pleasant rest of your week.
