Hello Everyone,
Exciting news! The GUI for Atlas Resource Policies is now live. You can create and manage policies directly from the Atlas UI, writing Cedar code and deploying policies straight from your browser - something that was previously only available via API or Terraform. This new capability expands your options for Resource Policy management.
With this new GUI, you can create Resource Policies that:
-
Effortlessly set cluster tier limits: Customize and control the upper and lower limits for your cluster sizes.to provision, scale, and update clusters according to your needs.
-
Restrict the cloud provider: Choose which cloud provider your clusters may be deployed on, specifying options like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
-
Restrict deployment regions: Specify the regions where Atlas clusters can be deployed, such as US-East-1, to best suit your geographic and compliance needs.
-
Enhance security with IP address management: Forbid wildcard IP addresses (0.0.0.0/0) to ensure tighter security controls, or set specific IP addresses for cluster access.
-
Restrict cluster properties: Prevent users from provisioning, updating, or auto-scaling clusters to tiers outside of specified thresholds, maintaining tighter control over resource use and costs.
-
Configure maintenance windows: Easily require maintenance windows for your Projects to ensure that updates are applied consistently.
We believe this enhanced interface will streamline your workflow and improve your overall experience with our platform.
