Hi there, I am a veteran of the old university. I am now trying the new content and here are a few problems I noticed that make it a bit hard.
- Learning paths are nice, but our old completions made their way a bit wrong. I started the “MongoDB DBA Path”. Although I haven’t taken the whole new “Introduction to MongoDB” (which I see it as a refresher), the path now shows as “completed”.
- The path is nice to show the content, but when I complete a section it shows only “View” button, and “Continue” button while still active. it does not show “View Details” anymore where we would see the overview of that section. this details page should be available anytime.
- The course page is nice, but browsing through is a bit hard, especially when taking a quiz. “prev/next” buttons are easily confused with the quiz itself.
- Long pages in the course scroll themselves toward the half. I thought I skipped the video at first, that I clicked the next button twice, but then I noticed the scrolling. this happened on many new long pages I visited, so I assume it has something to do with page coding.
- Course completion requirements are not clear. we had this condition clearly stated to be 65% total with 3 tries on graded assignments. Is this still relevant in the new university? What is the requirement for completion? I did not see any statements about that.
- New lab playground is great, but once we click on the “check” button, the lab is not available to play anymore. That is a downside as each lab playground holds its own data for the purpose of the lecture. They should be available all the time, or the “tasks/hints/answers” along with the data should be available to work with after it completes.
- the check box for the “HIDE ANSWERS UNTIL THE END OF THE QUIZ” is not visible enough, and this feature is not working as intended. Even when checked, it still shows the answer to each question.
- Some of the review content seems to continue lingering in the quizzes.
- the full-screen “Next” overlay on the videos that are put on a video when it ends is a pure annoyance. At first glance, it serves well to transition to the next lecture while in full-screen, but it simply blocks reviewing the video content even when not in full-screen. One needs to go back and forth to get back to the video to review it until this overlay comes up again, and then the same pain all over again.
I hope you fix these issues before fully migrating to the new university (which is already in use for newcomers)
