I have discovered through MongoDB University that I can set indexes on my Atlas database using Compass. Does this mean I can just do this instead of settings indexes in my Mongoose schemas?

Indexes can be created with any tool that can connect to the database in question, as long as you’re using an authenticated user with the proper permissions.
