Host
Devoli has been bringing powerful network automation tools and network services to Australasia for over a decade. Starting in the late 2000s as Vibe - focussing on high quality voice and data networking - the business has thrived by simplifying complex problems to allow our customers to add value to their brands.

Rebranding to Devoli in 2017 heralded a strategic refocus on prioritising the delivery of our network automation tools. These tools are now used by many businesses to drive efficiencies and free up time and resources for higher value work. We are opening up markets for non traditional players to profit in the internet, voice and data landscape.

Speakers

Erich Kuba (Erich Kuba - Cloudize Limited | LinkedIn) - Erich is a long-time MongoDB User based in Auckland. He’s going to share his journey from a critical failure of a MySQL Database that led him to adopting MongoDB and why he is such an advocate of MongoDB today. He’ll also give an overview of some of his favourite, but probably lesser known, features.

Philipp Waffler (Philipp Waffler - MongoDB | LinkedIn) - Philipp is a MongoDB Senior Solution Architect from Munich and based in Melbourne (but married to a kiwi!). He’ll be presenting about why MongoDB Atlas is not just a fully managed database, but a fully managed developer platform. He will focus on application-driven analytics as an example of where the traditional concept of a database needs to be extended to a developer platform.

Organiser

Jake McInteer (linkedin.com/in/mcinteerj) - Jake is MongoDB’s first employee here in New Zealand. He’s been working with MongoDB since he joined as an architect in London in 2019 and has fallen in love with the technology and the company. He loves meeting and helping Mongo users and helping kiwi companies get started with MongoDB.
