It is with great pleasure that we announce the MongoDB Champions Program!
The Champions program rewards and recognizes our most active and enthusiastic community members at every stage of their MongoDB journey. From university students to veteran developers, Champions will have the opportunity to help drive the direction of our technologies while making meaningful contributions to the community.
So, what do we look for in a MongoDB Champion?
Champions are selected once a year in February, but we are always keeping an eye out for exceptional community leaders that love working with MongoDB technologies.
Things we look for in a Champion:
- Active community member that enjoys participating in developer forums, user groups, and social media
- Great at communicating with the community through content such as blogs, podcasts, and live video
- Passionate about MongoDB and industry technologies
- Supportive of fellow community members and always willing to lend a helping hand
- Eager to help guide the direction of our technology
- Uplifting and positive presence, both online and offline

What do MongoDB Champions do?
Becoming a Champion is a commitment to building and maintaining a meaningful relationship with MongoDB and the developer community. This could include activities such as contributing to opinion papers, leading a community user group, providing feedback to our leadership team, participating in focused product feedback groups, or a combination of similar activities.
What are the perks and benefits of being a MongoDB Champion?
Your commitment to MongoDB and the developer community doesn’t come without it’s rewards.
Champions will receive public recognition in the community, exclusive SWAG, Private Preview to new features, VIP status at events, and opportunities to grow their skills.
