MongoDB.local Is Coming To London
On September 25th, MongoDB.local London will open its doors to the UK and European users of MongoDB. With a keynote from CTO and Co-founder Eliot Horowitz bringing everyone up to date with the latest developments in the MongoDB universe and a look at where it's heading, followed by four tracks of talks, the day is going to be humongously informative.
Talking Talks
The talks will take users through all the latest features of MongoDB. There is a talk and a deep dive for MongoDB's exciting new security feature, Client-side Field Level Encryption which keeps data encrypted in the database. A hands-on session will show the power of on-demand materialized views while another talk will dive into the now cross-shard-capable distributed transactions of MongoDB.
There'll be talks on the MongoDB Atlas Full-Text Search feature and new Data Lake service and a look at what you can do with the now generally available MongoDB Charts. An introduction to using Kubernetes, MongoDB and the MongoDB Operator is also lined up, as is a dive into the world of the new MongoDB Connector for Kafka.
And More
If that wasn't enough, there's a morning tutorial on Stitch, a tips and tricks session on querying and indexing in MongoDB, a guide to modelling data for documents, a session on the BI Connector, a presentation on MongoDB and machine learning and a look at backup strategies.
Add in a series of presentations from new members of the MongoDB family, Realm, about their mobile database technology, customer talks from Auto Trader and Nationwide, and sponsor talks from Google Cloud and AWS. Put it all together and you have a packed day of learning on the leading edge.
