FAQ

Is MongoDB World canceled?

No, World is not canceled. Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our customers, partners, employees and the community, and in alignment with the best practices laid out by the CDC, WHO, and other relevant entities regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), MongoDB has decided to make World globally accessible, without the risks imposed by travel. We are introducing MongoDB.live, a free, truly global, fully digital, two-day event, which will take place on June 9th and 10th, 2020.

What is the cost to join MongoDB.live?

MongoDB.live is a free event. For those that have already registered for MongoDB World 2020, registration will be transferred to our digital event. If you have not yet registered for MongoDB World, please register for this fully virtual event online on the MongoDB World website.

When will the new virtual event take place?

MongoDB.live will take place on June 9th and 10th.

I’ve already purchased a pass. Will I get refunded for the in-person event?

Attendees who were registered for World will automatically be registered for MongoDB.live at no charge. Those who had registered for MongoDB world will have received an email from mongodb@executivevents.com with refund options.

Since MongoDB World 2020 is now being offered virtually, can additional people from my company attend?

Definitely! We would love to have additional people from your company attend. For anyone that has not yet registered for MongoDB World 2020, please register for the digital-first event online on the MongoDB World website.

I’ve already registered (or have been re-registered) for MongoDB.live before the date change. Do I need to re-register now that the date has moved to June 9th-10th?

No! If you registered for the MongoDB.live event before the date change, you do not need to register again for the June 9th and 10th dates.

Will I be reimbursed for my lost travel and accommodation costs?

If you purchased a conference ticket, you would have received an email with refund options. You will need to cancel any other travel plans or accommodations, and are responsible for any associated fees.

Networking with other users is a big reason I attend, how are you going to offer that benefit virtually?

We will continue to share details over the coming weeks regarding how you can engage and interact with MongoDB executives, customers, partners and industry thought leaders during the virtual event.

If I’m local to New York, or still plan to come to New York, what activities will you offer?

All of the content and programming for MongoDB.live will be available online. MongoDB will no longer be hosting large in-person group activities in connection with the event. This is in alignment with the CDC, WHO, and other relevant entities regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Can I still get MongoDB World 2020 swag?

We strive to build sustainability into everything that we do and we’re committed to using MongoDB technology to enable everyone to take action towards a more sustainable world. As a result of these efforts, we are not offering MongoDB World 2020 swag.
