Manage Groups

A group provides access to a distinct deployment of MongoDB clusters, replica sets and standalone processes. Users must be members of a group to access the group’s deployment. When you register as a new Ops Manager user, you either join an existing group or create a new one.

You can optionally use the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to manage Ops Manager users and roles. If you choose to use LDAP to manage Ops Manager users and roles, the procedures in this section do not apply. Please see Configure Ops Manager Users for LDAP Authentication and Authorization instead.
