While MongoDB World 2020 is happening as planned and there are no plans to cancel the event, we understand you may be concerned about how the novel COVID-19 may impact the event and want to understand the safeguards MongoDB and our production partners are taking to help safeguard you while in attendance at the conference. Our strategy and approach are consistent with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and is designed to prioritize attendee health and safety.
Precautions being taken onsite include:
Increased medical personnel to handle medical emergencies including a designated Safety Officer to oversee event medical operations
Increased sanitization stations and a First Aid station onsite
Equipping our Help Desk with information for nearby doctors and hospitals
Recommending guests to submit emergency contact information
Requesting that all attendees and exhibitors evaluate their own health and that of people the-y’re in close contact with, and to contact the MongoDB Team if they have any concerns about attending the conference
Encouraging attendees and exhibitors to follow the guidance of the CDC for everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses
In the event the situation worsens, and the event is cancelled:
The MongoDB Team will continue to follow the guidance of the CDC and the WHO and is in close communication with local officials to monitor all new developments pertaining to COVID-19.
